Old Macdonald had a farm, E-I-E-I-O! Nursery rhymes were sung as our little ones in TPS and PS, accompanied by their teachers and various members of the school staff, made their way to the Amateur Rider’s Club (ARC) at Mahalaxmi Race Course for an educational field trip.
After overcoming the joy in seeing the various horses, they were taught about their physical characteristics and various food habits by an instructor from the ARC. A walk-through through the stables included the children screaming ‘Unicorn!’ upon seeing a horse belonging to the white breed. Demonstrations on replacing a horse shoe were given to the onlookers and the day concluded with everyone having the opportunity to feed the stunning hoofed mammals.
A big thank you to our teachers for organising a wonderful outing, the Mahalaxmi Race Course for their warm welcome, and the horses for their patience at being photographed during feeding time.
