After listening to Barbara’s ‘The Black Eagle’ and reading Cendrars’ poem ‘Le septicolore’, our 6th Grade embroiderers set to work.
Maintaining a consistent tightness of the yarn while stitching; “Professor, can you tie the knot for me?” Having fun combining colours; “I would like to put some sequins on, it will be more joyful”…..and above all, drawing all the necessary patience to complete the work; “Mom wants to frame it, it has to be really beautiful if we want to hang it in the living room!”, “When I show my bird to my grandmother, she won’t believe her eyes!”
